The Anchor Oats traditional style oatmeal was the inspiration for starting Anchor Oats. I started making this oatmeal to take on our weekend boat trips and backpacking for a hearty, healthy, and warm breakfast. I mixed up my own because there was nothing ready-made in the market that met my needs for no added sugar, high protein, and came in minimal packaging.
